Request Reviews After a Completed Job
- Difficulty
- Beginner
- Setup effort
- About 1 hour (estimate)
- Good for
- Home service, Local service
The problem
Happy customers rarely leave reviews unless you ask at the right moment.
Who it’s for
Local businesses that rely on Google reviews and referrals.
What you’ll need
- A CRM with pipeline-stage or tag-based triggers
- Your Google Business Profile review link
Steps
-
01
Define what “job complete” means
Pick a single trigger, such as moving a deal to a Completed stage or marking an invoice paid.
-
02
Wait a little
Send the request a few hours to a day after completion, while the experience is fresh.
-
03
Ask simply, with a direct link
“Thanks for choosing us! Would you mind sharing a quick review? [link]” One tap is the goal.
-
04
Send one gentle reminder
If there’s no review after a few days, a single follow-up is plenty.
Note: Ask all customers equally. Filtering requests so only happy customers are asked (“review gating”) conflicts with Google’s policies.
